If you are not satisfied with the explanation from the assessment branch, there is an annual Board of Revision process where you have an opportunity to file a formal appeal. Your written appeal must be filed with:

The RM of Morris Board of Revision date to hear appeals is held on an annual basis, normally in November of each year. The date is set by the assessment branch and will be advertised in the local paper well in advance of the Board of Revision date. The application requirements are as follows:

An application for revision must:

  • be in writing
  • set out the roll number and legal description of the assessable property for which as revision is sought;
  • state the grounds on which the application is based;

be filed by:

  • delivering it or causing it to be delivered to the office indicated in the public notice; or
  • 
serving it upon the secretary, at least 15 days before the scheduled sitting date of the board as indicated in the public notice.

There is no fee to file an appeal through the annual Board of Revision.
